There is no question about multiple uses of AI for LEA. LLMs are leading the way towards a radically more global way of providing a global security to people, sites and organizations. But as the current situation shows, the difficulty is now in interfacing LLMs with dedicated and trained individuals to make the new era happen. Here’s an ambitious and pretty large EU funded project that deserves a closer look over the next three years.
STARLIGHT was funded as an innovation action under the H2020-SU-AI02 call – ‘Secure and resilient Artificial Intelligence technologies, tools and solutions in support of Law Enforcement and citizen protection, cybersecurity operations and prevention and protection against adversarial Artificial Intelligence’. The project began in October 2021 and will last 48 months. STARLIGHT brings together 51 partners from across 18 different European countries with 15 law enforcement agencies
